I trained from an early age with the International Dance Teachers Association in Latin American, Modern, Ballroom, Jazz and Disco dancing and also in Tap, Modern Ballet and Stage Jazz. I have been involved in theatre for over thirty years and was nominated for the Northern Electric & Gas Arts Individual Award in 1999 and for the National Operatic & Dramatic Association (NODA) Best Youth Productions for Around the World in 80 Days in 2004, The Wizard of Oz in 2005 and The King & I in 2007.
I have been awarded the NODA ~ Best Production Award for 'Bugsy Malone' in 2001, Best Choreographer Award 2002 for '42nd Street' and Best Youth Production Award 2006 for 'Les MiserablesSE' beating off competition from the North West of England.

I have been a Director, Choreographer, Dancer & Actor and Stage Manager in numerous productions including pantomimes, musicals and variety ranging from Old Time Music Hall to West Side Story. In November 2008 I directed A590 Youth Theatres’ production of The Ugly Duckling in Prague in the International Youth Theatre Challenge - “Class In Action”, claiming the Overall Winners Award. More recently I have directed Walney Juniors’ production of Barnum, and A590 Youth Theatres productions of Back to the 80’s and Honk Jnr, to critical acclaim.
